Evelyn Medina is a Senior Associate at AVR Law with nearly a decade of experience practicing workers’ compensation law. Her career in the field began in 2013 as a legal assistant, providing her with hands-on experience that continues to inform her strategic approach to litigation. Ms. Medina brings a well-rounded perspective to workers’ compensation matters. In 2023, she returned to defense practice after working at a premier applicant-side firm, sharpening her litigation skills and deepening her insight into claim strategy. She handles all aspects of litigation and is known for implementing innovative, results-driven strategies that have contributed to major victories for her clients. She became a Certified Legal Specialist in Workers’ Compensation Law by the State of California in 2023. In 2025, she joined the Hispanic Insurance & Risk Management Association (HIRMA) Board of Directors and currently serves as the organization’s Secretary.
